As a Machinist Level 4 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our Aerospace Technologies (AERO) business unit. You will be accountable for operating and maintaining various machines to produce precision parts and components for aerospace applications. Your expertise in machining will contribute to the production of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Urbana, OH location.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes, ensuring the timely delivery of quality products to our customers. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize machining operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate various machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform precision machining operations to produce parts within specified tolerances
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to ensure smooth operations
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments

  • Associate's degree in Machining or a related field

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing ethics
