PetSmart LLC seeks a full-time Sr. Software Engineer SAP based in Phoenix, AZ. Design and develop computer software and specialized utility programs using SAP. Manage SAP technical implementation lifecycle, including planning, configuration, testing, rollout, and support an SAP ERP solution in SAP Retail and S4HANA environment. Confer with cross-functional IT and business teams to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities and design and develop solutions based on business requirements. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, including process analysis, understanding functional requirements, and creating technical specifications. Participate in software workshops and provide leadership in SAP technical space, working with Solution Architects, SAP Functional Team, Basis, Integration Engineers, and business teams. Design, develop, and modify SAP software systems, building and maintaining efficient, readable, reusable, high-performing and reliable code. Develop software solutions for large volume processes/processing, applying knowledge of performance impacts and best practices. Perform Workflow configuration, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, and documentation, including test script creation, unit testing, code reviews, and associated documentation.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, postbaccalaureate) experience. Must also have 4 years of experience with each of the following: 1) Working with SAP ERP software in retail environment and designing, developing, and modifying SAP software systems; 2) Utilizing ABAP, RAP concepts including: Objects, Workbench, ABAP on HANA, Cloud Platform, and BTP; and performing workflow development, testing, implementation and maintenance; 3) Developing architectural designs, defining delivery strategies, and formulating technical solutions utilizing SAPUI5 & Fiori, ALE, BAPIs, BADIs, IDOC, BDC and ALV programming; 4) Middleware Integration utilizing Cloud Platform Integration (SAP Integration Suite - iPaaS) and supporting through SDLC; and 5) Utilizing SAP Finance, Transportation management, SAP Purchasing, Procurement, merchandising and manage Operational Support, Risk and Upgrades in SAP Space.
