An Operations Support Specialist - Longview is needed to help us in our endeavor to build the healthiest community in the nation … one person at a time.

This position will be based at the new and innovative acute care behavioral health facility, which opened in late 2023. SummitStone has the privilege of partnering closely with Larimer County on this venture. This voter-approved facility provides licensed, equitable and culturally relevant care and treatment to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders.   • Location: Fort Collins, CO
  • Status: Full-time, 40/hrs. week 
  • Hours: Sunday-Tuesday 11am-11:30pm and every other Wednesday 2:30pm-11pm

What You’ll Do:

Responsible for providing support to SummitStone clients and team members while performing a broad range of operational duties in a fast-paced, clinical, and medical setting. This position can be located at any one of our SummitStone clinic locations and may be required to provide support at different locations on an as needed basis. This role will also be required to provide support to in-person, hybrid, and community-based teams.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provides exceptional customer service and support to clients, SummitStone staff, community partners, and vendors in a professional, supportive, and inclusive manner.
  • Greets clients, checks them into appointments, assists them with paperwork, and collects payments. 
  • Verify client insurance coverage and ensure that correct coverage is applied to patient accounts.
  • Communicate effectively via email, phone, electronic medical record communication, and in person with internal and external colleagues. 
  • Attends to work queues in the electronic health record, which can include uploading clinical/medical documentation, updating consent forms, completing scheduling functions, and outreaching to clients for missing documentation.
  • Corresponds with referring partners, clients, and/or staff members. Routes mail and performs other tasks of this nature.
  • Activates crisis response processes when a client presents in need of immediate clinical support and utilizes CPI techniques to help deescalate. Participates in assigned triage processes.
  • Partners and collaborates well with clinical, medical, and operation teams within clinics to maximize efficiencies and identify areas of opportunity that would contribute to more functional clinic operations.
  • Responsible for supporting new team members in learning workflows and providing shadowing opportunities.
  • Operations Support Specialists that work in acute care settings may also be responsible for tracking client belongings.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to manage daily department issues and competing demands.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.

Required:

  • High school diploma or completion of G.E.D. required.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service or a client facing position required.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a related position in a healthcare or in behavioral healthcare operations preferred. 
  • Experience with high acuity care, highly desirable.
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred.

Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Total Rewards

The typical hiring range for this position is $20.40 - $24.48/, based on relevant years of experience.
