The Town of Wellesley is seeking a Community Social Worker (CSW). The primary responsibilities of this position are case management and to enhance and make accessible the social service and mental health resources available to Wellesley residents and their families by providing outreach, information and referral. Additional duties include being responsible for the Town’s community health, environmental health, and emergency preparedness programs. Primary responsibilities include short-term counseling, crisis intervention, needs assessment, referrals and the coordination of services, requires knowledge of local and regional social assistance programs and requires basic social service skills. This position works both independently and collaboratively with other Health Department staff and Town departments.
Minimum Requirements: B.S. Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution, current Licensed Social Worker certificate, and three years of experience in community or health-based social work. Listening, interviewing, communicating and time management skills, experience in performing crisis interventions, ability to work independently and computer skills, including experience with word processing, spread sheets and databases are also required. Having your own vehicle and a valid driver's license are a must. The salary range is between $58,670 and $75,000.
