Responsibilities*
- Helping to plan and carry out clinical trials and observational studies.
- Helping to manage data collection. Analyzing quantitative data using statistical software such as R or SAS and going through the code and analytics with senior biostatisticians.
- Conducting literature reviews. Conducting qualitative research interviews and qualitative analysis .
- Preparing manuscripts.
- Delivering oral presentations on research results.
Required Qualifications*
- Doctoral training (PhD) in epidemiology, statistics, or biostatistics and is interested in vision and eye health, heath equity, and health services research
- Ability to conduct statistical analysis
- Ability to conduct literature reviews, synthesize data, and write manuscripts.
- Ability to use statistical software such as R or SAS
- Ability to work and troubleshoot independently
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office
- The ideal candidate will show personal initiative in managing work assignments by organizing, prioritizing work in coordination with the PI, and completing tasks on deadlines.
- The candidate must be able to work independently, work and communicate with the larger team, and regularly exercise judgment in the application research protocols.
- This position requires strong interpersonal skills - a person who is approachable and compassionate and has the ability to think on one's feet in sensitive or difficult situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Desired Qualifications*
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented, responsible individual with excellent communication and organizational skills to join our lab (Paula Anne Newman-Casey eHealth Lab (google.com)). We are seeking someone who has completed their doctoral training (PhD) in epidemiology, statistics, or biostatistics and is interested in vision and eye health, heath equity, and health services research. A PhD in a relevant field is required, as is the ability to work and troubleshoot independently , the ability to conduct statistical analysis, and the ability to conduct literature reviews, synthesize data, and write manuscripts.
Modes of Work

Background Screening
