Job Description
Yamaha is seeking to fill a Forklift Operator role for our facility in Lakeview, WI. Position is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to support warehouse, receiving, inventory, and shipping activities. This role requires advanced proficiency gained through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience in warehouse operations and material handling.
Position will independently perform a variety of material movement activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, supports inventory accuracy, and assists in maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The role applies sound judgment in load handling, equipment operation, and task prioritization while serving as a knowledgeable resource for less experienced operators and team members.
What you’ll be doing:
- Safely operates forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move, store, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.

- Load and unload trailers, containers, and delivery vehicles while ensuring product integrity and adherence to safety requirements.
- Evaluate loads for weight, stability, dimensions, and safe handling requirements prior to movement.
- Transport materials to designated warehouse locations and ensure proper storage, stacking, and inventory placement.
- Perform inventory movements, replenishment activities, and stock transfers while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Conduct pre-shift and routine equipment inspections and identify, document, and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory investigations to help ensure inventory accuracy.
- Utilize RF scanners, inventory systems, and warehouse documentation to accurately record material transactions.
- Assist with picking, packing, labeling, staging, and shipping activities as operational needs require.
- Support onboarding and training of new forklift operators by demonstrating proper equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve safety, workflow efficiency, and material handling processes.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas in accordance with warehouse housekeeping standards.
