Job Description

As the HR Coordinator, you will support a broad range of human resources functions, including benefits administration, HRIS input and maintenance, vendor payments, and general administrative activities. This role is responsible for administering and processing employment and benefits transactions, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and other employee lifecycle events, while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. All activities must be completed in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as museum policies, procedures, and best practices.

In addition to core HR responsibilities, you will coordinate employee events, schedule and organize training sessions, process monthly invoices, and provide administrative support for departmental initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, detail-oriented environment and enjoys balancing routine processes with meaningful interactions. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset. This is a benefits-eligible hourly position with a 35-hour workweek. The hiring range for this role is $24.49 to $30.00 commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of human resources experience, including familiarity with benefits administration, HRIS platforms, some leave management and a general understanding of payroll. You are a trusted professional who handles confidential information with discretion, demonstrates calmness and emotional maturity in stressful situations, communicates effectively with diverse audiences, and builds positive working relationships across the organization. Proficiency with Google Workspace and other cloud-based applications, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, is essential. Open mindedness, flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for this position.
