Job Description

Internal Communications & Change Management Specialist Our financial services client is seeking an experienced Internal Communications & Change Management Specialist to support enterprise-wide initiatives through high-quality communications and employee engagement content. This role is responsible for translating complex business and technology topics into clear, audience-focused messaging that helps drive awareness, adoption, and organizational readiness.The ideal candidate is a strong writer and editor who can independently manage communication deliverables, support change initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders across leadership, business, and technology teams.

The Basics

  • Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Duration: 4 months

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or change management
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience creating publishable communications content
  • Ability to research, analyze, and simplify business or technology information
  • Experience supporting organizational change initiatives and employee communications
  • Strong project management and operational coordination skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft SharePoint skills
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency
  • Basic video editing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented
  • Experience supporting enterprise operations, technology organizations, or large-scale transformations is preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and edit internal communications including emails, presentations, SharePoint content, webpages, memos, job aids, and change management materials
  • Develop audience-specific messaging for business and technology initiatives
  • Support communications strategies for leadership, employees, and technical stakeholder groups
  • Manage content publishing and updates across internal communication channels
  • Develop employee enablement and adoption materials supporting organizational changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging accuracy and consistency
  • Help drive employee awareness, engagement, and readiness during change initiatives

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
