The FHLB Des Moines Marketing Communications Intern will play a key role in the Bank’s Marketing Communications Department. This person will gain real-world, value-add experience leading and assisting with a variety of communications and content marketing initiatives, specifically related to website, email marketing, social media and more.Accountabilities:
Responsibilities/Duties/Function/Tasks:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team as well as business partners to support various projects, marketing campaigns and operational communications.
- Create, write, and build content for an external audience using multiple channels including articles, emails, website content and video.
- Ownership of the design and development stages of content creation, including project plans, updates, content design and webpage layout.
- Support ongoing department reporting and organization of creative asset libraries
Qualifications:
- Junior, senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
- Experience in content creation, digital marketing and communications a plus, but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with website content management systems, social media management, Google Analytics and email marketing platforms (i.e. Marketo)
- Strong multitasking, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills are critical.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including both creative and technical writing.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, think critically, take initiative and work independently.
Compensation Range:
Hourly: $22.00 - $2.00This salary range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role is also eligible to participate in the Bank’s annual incentive plan.
