We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team immediately. This is a remote position with flexible working hours, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic and supportive work environment. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, helping us maintain our commitment to excellence and reliability.
 

As a Payroll Assistant, you will support our payroll department by performing essential tasks to process accurate payrolls for our employees. You will gather and verify timesheets, process payroll data, and handle administrative tasks to ensure compliance with all payroll regulations. We are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, reliable, and has a passion for providing timely and accurate support to our finance team.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll for employees, including entering payroll data and calculating wages and deductions.
  • Gather timesheets and ensure accurate capture of hours worked.
  • Draft paychecks, handle direct deposits, and prepare and maintain payroll reports.
  • Mail electronic paychecks or distribute hard copies as needed.
  • Process new hire paperwork and maintain employee payroll records.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Perform basic payroll calculations and maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all payroll activities, upholding integrity in the process.


Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures, compliance, and regulations.
  • Ability to perform calculations and manage data with accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High degree of reliability, honesty, and integrity.

  • Payroll Processing: Skilled in gathering and processing timesheets, performing calculations, and drafting paychecks.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
