Digital Asset Management Librarian
Position Overview
The Digital Asset Management Librarian will oversee the organization, maintenance, and accessibility of digital assets within the library. This role involves implementing best practices in digital asset management, ensuring compliance with digital rights, and supporting users in the effective use of digital resources. This role will enable brand consistency and messaging through asset updates and reinforcement of brand guidelines to provide a single source of truth for digital content within the business and a more consistent user experience to all audiences.
This is a 40 hour, 6-month, hybrid contract in Minneapolis, MN requiring 1-2 days onsite per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize digital assets to ensure easy retrieval and use.
- Develop and implement metadata tagging standards for digital collections.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of taxonomies for content organization.
- Utilize project management tools to oversee digital asset projects from inception to completion.
- Provide training and support to staff and users on digital asset management systems and processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with digital rights management policies and practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to align digital asset strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with 1-3 years of digital management experience with an enterprise-level understanding of Digital Asset Management, taxonomy, and metadata tagging.
- Knowledge of wide-ranging file formats and specifications including still, video, social, 3D, web content, etc.
- Solid knowledge of web publishing, content management systems and Digital Rights Management (DRM) best practices/standards.
- Solid ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics or similar, JIRA or other project management tools and basic understanding of SEO.
- Well organized individual with ability to give attention to detail in a highly creative, fast-paced environment and ability to work independently and manage own workload.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in food content/food related taxonomies
- Experience/knowledge of AI tagging concepts/tools
- Experience in a corporate setting
